Facebook is currently in the middle of (another) redesign of its News Feed. This redesign is meant to create more visual consistency between the desktop and mobile Facebook experiences.
The new design features larger images and a darker background. There’s nothing going on with the News Feed algorithm behind the scenes; this time, the update is purely cosmetic.
This, of course, means Page managers are scrambling to keep up and make sure their content looks the best it possibly can within the new News Feed.
Luckily, Gain, an app for team-based Facebook marketing management, has done a lot of the leg work for the rest of us by releasing an infographic that clearly explains how images will behave within the redesigned Facebook News Feed and what Page managers and creative teams need to do to ensure their images display as intended.
